Float is a unique credit monitoring app that not only let’s users keep an eye on their own credit report, but also let’s them share their credit score with family or close friends so they can help each other to improve. The app was designed for native Android and iOS, and available in light or dark modes.

The app’s founder wanted the app to feel authoritative but also fun. He was concerned that most financial tools felt intimidating to most users. We sprinkled emojis throughout for a fun but familiar way to communicate one’s credit tier and included tools for users to cheer each other on in their quest for good financial health.

Taking User Data Seriously

Permissions and privacy were key to the success of the app. Users would approve any request for a follow and set the level of viewing access that each individual follower could have.
